this emergency blog was set up after barcaelections2010.blogspot.com (that was founded in september of 2009) was without any previous warning taken down because of "spam".
apparently there exist some "spam blogs" that don't post real messages on the blog but produce tons of spam posts. blogger wants to eliminate those but it seems their procedures aren't very accurate because there are many blogs taken down without being actual "spam blogs".
we will try to get the other blog back online (in the first place because of the archive) but it seems that the procedure can take a while, so the elections might well be over when we have it back.

update: this night my google account has been restored and barcaelections.blogspot.com is back online. the "spam blog" was apparently the blog i use as some kind of archive, where i put links to the stories in the catalan and spanish press so i can find them back when i need them. that is a closed blog that the public cannot see, so don't know how it could be used for spam. don't have that one back yet, but the main thing is that i do have my google account and the main blog back, so for you everything returns to normal.

well, they did apparently. at least temporarily. hope to get it back but when will that be? my whole archive, six months of work... don't want to think about it too much.

plus: part of my reputation towards the candidates and the local journalists. i can't play the "look what i already did" card anymore.
so far for my lazy, relaxed sunday... google is evil, china was right! well, kind of. and life is still great anyway.
